Apartment 308: trade the cold for Caribbean warmth
When it is snowing back home, the water in Simpson Bay is still warm enough for a long swim. Apartment 308 is a comfortable place to spend those weeks: a one-bedroom three storeys up at Dolce Beach Residence, where the beachfront building meets the sand of Simpson Bay head-on, over on Sint Maarten’s Dutch half.
A comfortable base for two
The bedroom is separate, with a king-size bed and plenty of calm. In the living space there is room to read, play cards or plan the next excursion, and the kitchen is fully equipped with an oven for everyday meals. A bathroom and an additional guest toilet complete the apartment.
Trade winds on the balcony
The third level catches the steady breeze that blows across the bay most of the year. Sitting out here with a coffee in the morning or a rum punch in the evening, watching the boats and the swimmers, soon becomes a habit.
The residence
Dolce Beach Residence keeps things simple and pleasant. The shared pool lies right on the beach, ideal for gentle laps, and the shared gym, inside and out in the fresh air, helps you keep up your routine. At the lobby, the welcome team is there on arrival and for any request afterwards.

The concierge can meet you with a taxi at the airport, arrange a rental car for a few days, organise a boat or snorkelling trip and reserve restaurants.
Easy days in Simpson Bay
No need for a car to get by: supermarkets, marinas, beach bars and restaurants can all be reached on foot. The airport is a ten-minute drive or so. Maho Beach is close by, and Mullet Bay and Cupecoy offer a change of beach. For a morning of shopping or a stroll through town, Philipsburg and Marigot are easy to reach.

Check-in from 4 pm, check-out by 11 am. A few days here is usually enough to forget a northern winter. Sheets and towels are supplied, and you stay connected with the included Wi-Fi.
