407: mornings start early at Dolce Beach Residence
Some guests come to Simpson Bay to sleep in. Others are on the sand by seven, snorkel in hand. Apartment 407 is for the second group. Its home is floor four of Dolce Beach Residence, whose beachfront footprint covers part of the Simpson Bay sand itself, and the stairs or the lift put you at the water’s edge in no time.
First light on the balcony
The fourth floor is a sweet spot: the breeze reaches you, the bay opens up, and you still feel connected to what happens below. At dawn the water is flat and glassy, the fishing boats slip out, and a coffee out here tastes better than anywhere else in the apartment.
A proper base for two
Behind the balcony, the living room and the kitchen share one bright space, while the bedroom and its king-size bed stay behind their own door. That matters when one of you is up at dawn and the other is not. The kitchen, oven included, handles a big post-swim breakfast without fuss. There is a full bathroom, plus a separate guest toilet.
Train, swim, repeat
The shared gym of the residence pairs a room under cover with an open-air deck where you can stretch facing the sea. Afterwards, the shared pool waits directly on the beach, so a cool-down in fresh water and a few lengths in the Caribbean follow each other naturally. The lobby staff are around from your arrival onwards if you need anything.
Out on the water
Simpson Bay suits people who like to move. Snorkelling, diving and sailing are all on offer nearby, and the concierge can book a boat trip, line up a car for the drive to Mullet Bay or Cupecoy, reserve a table for the evening or send a taxi to the airport when you land.
The neighbourhood on foot
Supermarkets for your breakfast supplies, marinas, beach bars and restaurants are an easy walk from the building. Maho Beach is close by, the airport around ten minutes by road, and Philipsburg or Marigot are there when you want a break from sand and salt.
Before you arrive
From 4 pm the place is yours; on your last morning, please leave by 11 am. We take care of the bed linen, the towels and the Wi-Fi.
