509: space for four, halfway up Dolce Beach Residence
A holiday together works best when everyone can also have a bit of time alone. Apartment 509 sits on floor five of our beachfront block, Dolce Beach Residence, whose foundations meet the Simpson Bay sand on the Dutch side, and its layout gives each pair of travellers their own territory.
Two sides, one home
The two bedrooms are separate, both furnished with a king-size bed and both near a bathroom of their own; visitors get a separate WC off the lounge. Parents travelling with teenagers get a little breathing room; two couples can keep their own rhythm without tiptoeing around each other. The kitchen is fully equipped, so late brunches and relaxed dinners in can easily become a habit.
A balcony above the bustle
From the fifth floor the sea view is wide and the noise of the beach softens to a murmur. Late morning is a lovely moment out there: fruit, coffee, the bay already busy with paddleboards and yachts, and nobody in a hurry.
Pool, gym and lobby
At ground level you will find the shared pool of the residence, right on the beach, a good meeting point when the group splits up for the day. The shared gym, partly under cover and partly out in the fresh air, is ideal for teenagers with energy to burn. The lobby team welcomes you and answers questions throughout your stay.
Arrangements through the concierge
The concierge can have a taxi waiting when your flight lands, set aside a hire car, sign the group up for a dive, a snorkel trip or a sail, and book a restaurant for the evening.
Nearby in Simpson Bay
Food stores, marinas, bars on the sand and all kinds of restaurants are a short walk from the door. You can be at the airport ten minutes after leaving. Maho Beach is right down the coast, and Mullet Bay or Cupecoy make good beach days. Teens usually enjoy a trip to Philipsburg or Marigot.
