709 at Dolce Beach Residence: when the sun goes down, look up
Most people choose Apartment 709 for its daytime view, then fall for its nights. It crowns Dolce Beach Residence, seven floors above the beachfront sand of Simpson Bay, and up here the Caribbean sky feels close enough to touch.
After dark on the balcony
Once the last glow fades over the water, the balcony turns into an observatory. With little overhead to block the view, clear nights bring out a sky full of stars, the blinking lights of planes on approach and the sound of the surf far below. Bring a blanket, pour something cool and stay out as long as you like.
The apartment
Four people sleep comfortably in the two bedrooms, which sit apart from each other, each holding one king-size bed. There are also two bathrooms and a little extra toilet for guests, which lets everyone keep their independence. Friends travelling as two pairs, or a family with older children, will find it easy to share. The kitchen is fully equipped for home-cooked meals, including the midnight snack that tends to follow a long evening outside.
Days by the water
In daylight the beach is where it all happens. The shared pool stretches along the sand right below, and the sea waits a few steps beyond. An early session at the shared gym can happen under cover or in the open air, and the lobby team takes care of guests from check-in to check-out.
Concierge services
The concierge will happily arrange your taxi from the airport, find you a car, plan a boat excursion or a snorkelling session, and reserve a table on nights when you fancy dining out rather than stargazing.
Getting to know the area
From the residence you can walk to Simpson Bay’s marinas, beach bars, supermarkets and restaurants. Allow roughly ten minutes on the road for the airport. Maho Beach is nearby, and the coast road leads on to Mullet Bay and Cupecoy. Set aside a day for Philipsburg or for Marigot across the border.
Before arriving
The apartment can be accessed from 4 pm and should be left by 11 am at the end of your stay. You’ll find the beds made, towels laid out and the Wi-Fi ready.
